Luz Victoria B. Simon Jasso

Luz Victoria B. Simón Jasso is a bilingual immigration legal professional and Princeton University graduate with a background in sociology and Latin American Studies. She currently serves as a Paralegal at Catholic Migration Services, where she supports immigrants navigating complex legal processes through community legal orientations, screenings, translation, and pro se application assistance as part of the Pro Se Plus Project.

Previously, Luz Victoria worked as an Immigration Legal Services Coordinator at a Manhattan-based non-profit organization, providing comprehensive legal and social support to migrant youth and families across New York City. Her work has included developing applications for immigration relief and connecting families to critical resources such as housing, healthcare, and education.

As a participant in Princeton’s selective Novogratz Bridge Year Program in China, Luz Victoria spent a year living and working in Yunnan Province, where she studied Mandarin and worked with a local organization. She is biliterate in English and Spanish, conversant in Mandarin, and proficient in MaxQDA and Stata, with strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
