Bryan Fotino
Bryan Fotino joined Catholic Migration Services as a Tenant Organizer in November 2022. After graduating from Vassar College at the height of the pandemic, Bryan worked as a Housing Advocate at Breaking Ground, where they connected people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Midtown Manhattan with housing and social services. There, they saw the most violent impacts of a system where housing is a commodity, not a right, and the disproportionate impacts faced by people of color. Bryan decided to leave the world of social work and take a job as an organizer. Now, they’re on the ground building the tenant movement, one conversation and one building at a time. In addition to advocating for the Right To Counsel NYC Coalition’s anti-eviction demands on the city and state level, Bryan is organizing Queens tenants to take on their landlords, lower their rents, and get the repairs they need. Bryan speaks English and Spanish.
