James Madison Kim

James Madison Kim is a staff attorney with the Tenant Advocacy Program, where he provides free legal counsel to low and moderate-income tenants in Queens. He received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 2011 and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2017. Prior to CMS, James worked for NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development bringing lead paint enforcement cases in the Bronx and Brooklyn housing courts, and for NYC Department of Buildings as Assistant General Counsel for the NYC Loft Board. James was born and raised in Queens, is deeply passionate about community, speaks Spanish, and is admitted to practice law in New York.
