Jonathan Cohen

Jonathan Cohen is the Managing Attorney at Catholic Migration Services. Before joining the team, he was the Lead Housing Supervisor of the Safety Net Project of the Urban Justice Center from 2017-2021. From 2006-2017, he was a Staff Attorney and a Senior Staff Attorney in the Mental Health Project at UJC, enforcing New York State’s psychiatric discharge planning laws and representing poor and indigent tenants with psychiatric disabilities. He also represented poor and indigent tenants at CAMBA Legal Services from 2000-2006. Mr. Cohen has also worked as Director of Education and Outreach for a non-profit Fair Housing organization, as a Civil Rights Investigator, and as a counselor for recovering drug users. Mr. Cohen has a B.A. in psychology from Haverford College and a J.D. from CUNY Law School. Jonathan is admitted to practice law in New York.
