Samantha Kocharov

Samantha Kocharov is a staff attorney with the Tenant Advocacy Program, where she provides free legal counsel to low and moderate-income tenants in Queens. She received her B.A. in Economics from Boston University in 2017 and her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2021.

Prior to joining Catholic Migration Services, Samantha was a Law Graduate at CAMBA Legal Services, where she preserved access to habitable, affordable housing for Brooklyn residents through litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy. She also gained experience at the Legal Wellness Institute, Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation A, and the Consumer Rights Clinic at CAMBA, supporting clients on housing, consumer rights, and public benefits matters.

Before beginning her legal career, she worked as an executive assistant, managing the schedules and communications of high-level executives, sharpening her organizational and client management skills. Samantha is admitted to practice law in New York and speaks intermediate Russian and basic Spanish.
