Catholic Migration Services Condemns Recent Immigration Enforcement Deaths and Calls for Action

Over the past seven months, immigrant communities have faced escalating immigration enforcement, including increased detention and the constant fear of being separated from their homes, workplaces, and families. Last week, that escalation resulted in the deaths of three immigrants in Florida, Texas, and Maine.

Catholic Migration Services condemns ICE’s actions in these circumstances for the disregard it shows for the dignity and humanity of our immigrant neighbors, colleagues, and family members. We call on our leaders to take immediate and responsible action to protect the safety and rights of immigrants across the country.

We firmly believe that every individual, regardless of their immigration status, deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. We stand in solidarity with immigrant communities.
