Immigration Counselor Marisol Canales answers questions about CMS services.

On Thursday December 19th CMS Immigration Counselor Marisol Canales and CMS Outreach Assistant Rebecca Rybaltowski spoke on a panel at a town hall meeting focused on labor and immigration issues. The event was held at St. Rita Parish in Brooklyn and it was hosted by Councilman Rafael Espinal’s office and Catholic Charities. Present on the panel were representatives from: Legal Aid Society, The New York State Department of Labor;Occupational Safety and Health Administration; the NYC Police Department and the law firm of Allen Kaye.

The conversation of the panel presented on an array of topics related to resources which are available to immigrants in NYC and the various issues facing the NYC immigrant community. Immigration Counselor Marisol Canales spoke about her work as an Immigration Counselor and she highlighted the wide range of affirmative filings that CMS offers. Marisol stressed that clients at CMS receive individual consideration from a diligent staff that has a wealth of experience and knowledge.More specifically Marisol highlighted the role that CMS plays in ameliorating immigrant issues in other areas such as housing and labor.
