Mizraim Belman Guerrero
Mizraim is a paralegal for the Pro Se Plus Program, and he is a native Spanish speaker. He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and immigrated to the United States at four years old. He grew up in Austin, Texas, and experienced the realities of growing up undocumented and navigating DACA. Mizraim knew that he wanted to support the immigrant community, and when he was fifteen, he became part of the immigrant rights movement for the first time. Ever since then, he has been heavily involved in immigrant rights advocacy in various ways. For example, at Georgetown University (Class of 2021), he studied international relations and worked with the Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor as an Immigration and Labor Project Organizer. Additionally, he was part of Mexico’s Permanent Mission to the UN, where he collaborated with global leaders on the Global Compact on Migration. Mizraim is passionate about recognizing everyone’s innate humanity and individual life experiences, and helping migrants work towards the futures that they deserve.
