Línea Laboral Reaches Out to Woodside Community

On Sunday, Línea Laboral operator Rebecca Rybaltowski spoke to parishioners and community residents at St. Sebastian’s Church in Woodside, Queens. Following the church’s Spanish Mass, Rebecca gave a brief presentation about Línea Laboral, the toll-free worker’s rights hotline operated by Catholic Migration Services, the NY and US Departments of Labor, the NYC Comptroller’s Office, and the Consulates General of Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, El Salvador, and Honduras.

CMS Reaches Out to Haitian Community in Brooklyn and Queens

Deacon Paul Dorsinville, CMS’ Health Education Coordinator, spoke at St. Francis of Assisi/St. Blaise Church in Brooklyn. As part of the parish’s “Haitian Community Sunday,” Deacon Paul shared CMS’ immigration, employment, and housing legal services with Haitian parishioners and community residents. This is particularly important now, during the renewal period for Haitian Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
